Discussion of hardness uneven of small bullet steel during quenching process

The phenomenon of low and uneven hardness of small bullet steel offen occurs after normal heat treatment which affect the strike and productive capacity.The reason for the low and uneven of hardness are discussed and the improving processes are posed here.Results show that after modified quenching process the hardness were improved and the variations were decreased which meet the technical requirements of bullet steel.
