Process control of high strength gray iron production by double melting of large cupola-electric furnace

  • This article introduces the dual melting process of cupola electric furnace in the second phase of our factory's casting.To obtain high-quality molten iron,the first step is to control the quality of raw and auxiliary materials.Stable and controllable furnace materials are the prerequisites for obtaining high-quality molten iron;Secondly,the smelting process requires standardized and strict process control to ensure the continuous supply of qualified molten iron.Thanks to the continuous optimization of the entire process control from the furnace material to the smelting process,a total of 1 million tons of high-quality molten iron have been melted since production.High strength gray cast iron is produced through strict quality control of raw iron liquid,combined with appropriate inoculation and alloying treatment.
