  • This paper presents "a sand-lined iron mold casting process for heat-resistant cast steel turbocharger turbine housings", which belongs to the technical field of mechanical part casting. It is designed to address the problems of numerous casting defects, low yield, and low process productivity of turbocharger turbine housings manufactured by existing casting processes. The sand-lined iron mold casting process for heat-resistant cast steel turbocharger turbine housings includes a sand-lined iron mold and a smelting process. The sand-lined iron mold comprises a shell-shaped mold, and the inner cavity of the shell-shaped mold is provided with sand-lined layers of different thicknesses. During casting, the core is placed into the shell-shaped mold, and the molten steel is injected into the inner cavity of the shell-shaped mold through the gating system for forming.
