Welding Technology of Marine Atmosphere Corrosion-Resisting Steel for Suspension Bridge Anchoring Structure

  • Abstract:The new type of marine atmosphere corrosion-resisting steel Q345qDNHY-Ⅰ was first applied to the fabrication of the anchorage system of Shiziyang Bridge. To meet the production requirements of the anchorage system components, welding procedure qualification tests for typical joints of this steel grade were carried out. Reasonable groove parameters, welding methods and process parameters were determined, and a proper welding sequence was formulated. The welding procedure compiled based on the qualification results has effectively guided workshop production, ensured the fabrication quality of the anchorage system components, and provided technical support for the application of this steel grade in similar bridge engineering projects.
