Exploration of Integrating Virtual and Real Welding Formation Practice Teaching under the Outcome-Based Education Concept

To meet the demand for cultivating outstanding engineering and technology talent in line with the "New Engineering" initiative, a reform of the traditional welding and forming practice teaching model has been conducted based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) philosophy. The new model fully considers students' diverse academic backgrounds and integrates virtual technology with hands-on welding practice to create a multi-tiered curriculum. Additionally, it establishes a diversified assessment system, forming a unified model that emphasizes “student-centered learning, virtual-real integration, progressive teaching, and multi-dimensional evaluation.”This approach not only stimulates students’ enthusiasm for practice and their interest in exploration but also focuses on developing their hands-on skills and quality awareness. It provides students with a progressively structured learning path and serves as an effective reference for the innovation and optimization of engineering practice teaching.
