Study on Optimization of Robot Aluminum Alloy Welding Process Parameters

  • This paper systematically investigates the comprehensive optimization of welding process parameters, targeting the difficulties and challenges associated with robot-assisted cold metal transfer welding of aluminum. Utilizing the L9(3^4) orthogonal array experimental method, we designed experiments for robotic welding process parameters. The experimental results were processed and analyzed using range analysis and variance analysis methods to establish the intrinsic impact weights of various factors on welding quality. Theoretical analysis and experimentation led to the following conclusions: 1)Weld penetration and width are primarily affected by wire feed and welding speed.2)Weld reinforcement height is particularly sensitive to the robot's speed.3)Weld hardness is mainly dependent on wire feed speed and pulse frequency.Based on these conclusions, effective solutions can be implemented to resolve the main performance variability issues of welded components in different application scenarios, thereby enhancing the efficiency and quality of welding operations.
