Research on the Generation Mechanism of Hydrogen Embrittlement and Process Improvement Methods for Large-section Carburized Gear Shafts

  • Analyze the formation mechanism of defects in the production process of large - section carburized gear shafts. It is found that the nature of the defects is hydrogen - induced flaking. Samples are taken at the defect locations to study the causes of hydrogen embrittlement. Subsequently, measures such as smelting and heat treatment are adopted to improve the process.
