Effects of annealing at different temperatures on microstructure and properties of Ti-3873 alloy welded joints

  • Microstructure and properties of Ti-3873 alloy laser welded joints after annealed at 450℃,550℃,650℃,750℃,respectively were studied.The experimental results show that the twins are observed in the HAZ of Ti-3873 alloy laser welded joints.The strength and hardness elevate and then drop with annealing temperatures increasing.The tensile strength reaches the maximal value of 1279.27MPa after annealing at 550℃.The annealing at 650℃of Ti-3873 alloy welded joints is the optimal process.
