Comparison and analysis of process and mechanical properties between wire plasma arc welding and argon arc welding of Hastelloy C276

  • Based on the marine desulphurization scrubber manufacturing project, the welding process and mechanical properties of argon arc welding and wire Plasma arc welding were compared, and the welding process performance of Hastelloy C276 alloy was studied, the joint quality, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the two welding methods were studied by physical and chemical test methods such as corrosion and metallographic analysis.The results show that the properties of the two welding methods meet the requirements of relevant standards.Compared with argon arc welding, wire plasma arc welding has advantages in improving efficiency, welding stability, reducing heat input, reducing welding material cost, and reducing welding spatter and porosity.
