Study on fatigue performance of welded joints of shovel blade plates of electric loaders used in coal mines

  • The blade plate is welded from multiple metal plates, and the quality of the welded joints directly affects the overall strength and durability of the blade plate. In coal mining operations, the welded joints of the shovel blade plate are subjected to enormous impact forces and wear under repeated loads, which can easily lead to fatigue failure. In order to better analyze the fatigue life of welded joints, a study was conducted on the fatigue performance of welded joints of shovel plates on electric loaders used in coal mines. Analyze the structural stress of the welded joint of the shovel blade plate, and construct an S-N curve by simulating the welding values. On this basis, the hot spot stress is solved, and a finite element model is designed to predict the fatigue life of the welded components. The experimental results indicate that if the weld seam height is a constant value, the lap length has a significant impact on the fatigue performance of the welded joint under low stress conditions. The larger the lap length, the longer the service life of the joint; Under high stress conditions, the lap length has no significant effect on the fatigue performance of welded joints.
