Simulation of laser selective zone melting to form TC4 conical tube

  • Using Simufact additive software to establish the finite element model of the TC4 conical tube, the parameter comparison test through process simulation, and finally choose the laser power 310W, scanning speed 1000mm/s, layer thickness 0.05mm. By viewing the stress field and deformation variable results to assist in designing the link for structural optimization, after the replacement of the support scheme, the total deformation variable of the construction link decreased to 0.16mm, a 71% reduction. Under the full process simulation, the heat treatment, wire cutting, and support grinding stages brought the deformation up to 1.07 mm.The cellular element structure of the BCC dot matrix was optimized and predicted by the homogenized finite element method using Young's modulus before and after the iteration as an evaluation index. The results show that the Young's modulus of the strengthened cell element is increased from 405.4 MPa to 434.9 MPa, while the difficulty of post-processing is not increased due to the fact that the strengthened points have no contact with the part.
