Research and application of rapid prototyping combination technology for complex curved screw head forging and cold extrusion

  • In order to improve the processing efficiency of complex curved screw heads, traditional mechanical cutting methods have been studied and changed. A combination process mode of hot forging, cold extrusion,and local cutting shaping has been innovatively introduced. From the aspects of process flow optimization, mold development, and process parameters, batch verification has been conducted. The screw heads manufactured by the combination process have no cracking defects, excellent surface quality, can completely replace conventional mechanical processing, reduce production costs, and achieve a significant improvement in screw head production efficiency.
