Abstract:
In order to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of 1Cr11Ni2W2MoV stainless steel parts, vacuum low pressure carburizing technology was used to carburize them. The effects of different carburizing temperatures and carburizing time ( 900 ~ 1100 °C / 3 ~ 5 h ) on the surface microstructure and wear resistance of 1Cr11Ni2W2MoV stainless steel samples were studied. The results show that the thickness and hardness of the carburized layer increase with the increase of carburizing temperature and time. When the carburizing temperature and time are 950 ~ 1050 °C / 3 h, the surface hardness of the sample reaches 60 HRC, which is more than 50 % higher than that of the original sample ( ~ 40 HRC ). When the carburizing temperature is 1000 °C / 3 h, fine tempered martensite can be obtained, the depth of wear scar on the surface of the sample is the smallest, and the wear resistance is the best.
