Abstract:
This paper investigates the effect of using high-temperature ceramic materials in vacuum induction melting aerosol(VIGA) technology on the atomization results of GH4169. Electronic scales, oxygen and nitrogen analyzers and X-rays were used to analyze the effects of different boron nitride high temperature ceramic material dosages on the weight of clad iron, oxygen and nitrogen of metal powder, and high density inclusions after atomization. The results show that applying boron nitride high temperature ceramic material at the sprue cup can effectively shorten the cleaning time of clad iron. With the increase of the dosage of boron nitride high temperature ceramic material, the weight of clad iron is obviously reduced, and the oxygen and nitrogen value of metal powder and non-metallic inclusions of GH4169 produced by VIGA equipment are qualified. On the other hand, applying different amounts of high temperature ceramic materials inside the large crucible also did not have any effect on the metal powder. This paper has guiding significance and reference value for understanding the use of boron nitride high temperature ceramic material in VIGA equipment to improve the life of sprue cup and reduce the weight of clad iron.
