Abstract:
In response to the issues of high welding skill requirements and poor stability of welding quality encountered in the T-joint welding of nuclear power reinforcement embedded parts using handheld submerged arc stud welding, this paper proposes the use of servo motor-driven automatic submerged arc stud welding technology. The development of specialized equipment was carried out from the aspects of welding power source selection, submerged arc stud welding gun design, and control system design. Welding procedure qualification and batch simulation welding tests were conducted for rebars with diameters of φ 20mm and φ 28mm, and batch applications were achieved in nuclear power projects. The results indicate that the non-destructive and physicochemical performance indicators of the automatic submerged arc stud welded joints meet the standard requirements. Compared to handheld submerged arc stud welding, automatic submerged arc stud welding has significant advantages in terms of welding efficiency, welding quality, and cost, demonstrating broad application prospects in the welding of nuclear power reinforcement embedded parts.
