Abstract:
The roller support structure of suspension bridges is an important core load-bearing component in the cable saddle of suspension bridges. Due to the complex environment of the bridge location, it is prone to wear and corrosion during long-term operation. The study of the durability of the material is of great significance to the service life of the roller structure. To evaluate the durability of the materials of the roller support structure of suspension bridges, this study selected five forged stainless steels, FV520B, 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb, KF80, 1Cr17Ni2, and 3Cr13MoV as test objects, and systematically tested their surface hardness, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance. The results show that there are certain differences in the uniformity of surface hardness among different materials. The surface hardness of 1Cr17Ni2, 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb, and KF80 is more uniform. KF80 and FV520B have better comprehensive mechanical properties. FV520B, 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb, and KF80 have better corrosion resistance. According to the mechanical property test results of the materials, KF80 is more suitable for use as the material of the roller support structure of suspension bridges.
