Abstract:
Experiments were conducted on GH738 alloy with different Al+Ti element contents within the standard solution temperature range to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy at different solution temperatures. By comparison, the optimal solution temperature range for the microstructure and mechanical properties of GH738 alloy with different Al+Ti element contents were obtained. The results show that when the Al+Ti element content is lower, lowering the solution temperature appropriately can achieve a more uniform microstructure, but excessively low solution temperature can reduce the mechanical properties. When the Al+Ti element content is higher, the solution temperature within the standard range has little effect on the grain size of the forging, and a higher solution temperature can be chosen appropriately to achieve a uniform forging structure with the better mechanical properties.
