Effects of different surface states on gas nitriding of gears

  • 摘要:   通过进行不同表面状态的调质态42CrMo齿轮钢对气体渗氮影响的试验,得出结论:一定范围内增加表面粗糙度可以加深渗氮硬化层深度,表面压应力会降低硬化层深度和渗氮表面硬度,酸蚀表面会提高硬化层深度和渗氮表面硬度,调质基体组织越细小均匀、基体硬度越高,硬化层深度越深、渗氮表面硬度越高。
     

     

    Abstract: Through experiments investigating the effects of different surface states of quenched and tempered 42CrMo gear steel on gas nitriding, it is concluded that increasing surface roughness within a certain range can enhance nitrided case depth; surface compressive stress reduces case depth and nitrided surface hardness; acid-etched surfaces improve case depth and nitrided surface hardness;Finer and more uniform matrix microstructure with higher matrix hardness in the quenched and tempered condition results in greater case depth and higher nitrided surface hardness.
