Abstract:
In the production of connecting rod, the billet is often heated repeatedly. Whether the billet heated repeatedly can be used again is related to the cost of raw materials. In this paper, the C70S6 non-quenched and tempered steel was repeatedly heated, aiming to study the influence of heating times on the microstructure and properties of C70S6 connecting rod. The results showed that billets heated less than 4 times can be used normally and it had little effect on the mechanical properties of C70S6 connecting rod when the heating times were less than 4times. The tensile strengths were always greater than 950MPa and the yield strength greater than 550MPa. With the increase of heating times, the grain size of ferrite and pearlite lamellar spacing increased, and the tensile strength and yield strength decreased gradually.
